Home to Home: Abby

15-year-old chocolate Siamese cat

Around Thankgiving an elderly friend died and I took her Siamese cat so she wouldn't have to go to the humane society.  I have no written proff she is spayed but you can tell.

Abby just turned 15, having been born in January 1994.  She is very active.  She still has her front claws and is spayed.  She is an indoor cat and has always been an only pet.  She is pretty shy and is NOT a lap cat or a cuddler, but she will sit beside you.  She is a full bred chocolate siamese, and she is noisy and opinionated.  Siamese can live for 20 or more years.  Please have some experience with the breed.  I think she would not be good with little kids.  She WILL  scratch when grabbed or handled roughly.  She eats IAMS dry food and prefers to use clay litter.  She loves to be brushed and a pinch of cat nip makes her goofy, but too much of it gives her gas!  She also loves soft cat treats but just one a day.  Any more and she vomits.

If you are interested, I will make an appointment with a Cranberry Twp. vet.  You meet me there and if you want abby, pay for her exam.  This way she is getting all her shots and a check up for 2009, and I will know you are serious about taking Abby and not just looking for a trophy pet.

I am not allowed pets at my apartment or I would keep her.
