“Run with the Pack at Animal Friends’ Paws & Pours Events”
Animal Friends’ BYODog Paws & Pours events are giving dogs and their people a new excuse to get out of the house! Typically held on the fourth Friday of every month, Animal Friends’ popular Paws & Pours happy hours have been selling out far in advance.
Animal Friends’ family-friendly events and programming are well known. But, the Paws & Pours events are reserved for the over-21 crowd, giving working professionals and adult pet lovers a chance to relax, spend time with their pets and connect with a great non-profit organization in a fun setting. This summer, Animal Friends is even opening their wooded walking trails—which are usually reserved for the shelter dogs—for an evening wine tasting and canine social hour.
“It’s very important to me to have things to do with my dogs,” said Eve Salimbene, Animal Friends volunteer and regular Paws and Pours participant. “After they spend a day in their crates, I don’t want to keep my dogs cooped up any longer. But I do want to go out and have a social life.”
Be sure to mark your calendar for the upcoming Paws & Pours events at Animal Friends:
W(h)ine!
Bring your dog to Animal Friends’ walking trails for this can’t-miss wine tasting. Enjoy an evening walk with stops along the way for a romp in our off-leash areas. The walk ends with light fare and a wine tasting on our patio. Doggie care will be offered in our Outreach Center, or you may keep your dog on leash while you mingle and sip! Requested donation: $20 per person over 21. Proceeds benefit Animal Friends.
Margaritaville
We’re breaking out the Jimmy Buffet CDs and throwing ourselves a Margaritaville! Join Animal Friends for a Cheeseburger in Paradise party. Bring your dog for a cookout on our patio, ice cold margaritas, 50/50 raffle, Chinese auction and doggie social. Jimmy Buffet attire is encouraged! Requested donation: $20 per person over 21. Proceeds benefit Animal Friends.
Special Sunday Brunch Edition: Animal Friends’ 1st Annual It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere Champagne Brunch

After brunch, walk your pooch over to our painting station to create a one-of-a-kind treasure for your home. You provide your favorite dog; Animal Friends will supply the paints and canvases to create a lifelong memento. This event is sure to be a sellout! Requested donation: $35 per person. Proceeds benefit Animal Friends.
Mardi Gras
Animal Friends is having a Mardi Gras party and you’re invited! The night’s activities include a beer tasting, dinner by Chick-Fil-A, psychic readings, Chinese auction, 50/50 Raffle and a doggie social.
