FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“Animal Friends Presents the Toys & Terriers Canine Carnival"

Animal Friends is calling all families for a free afternoon of carnival games, prizes, expert advice and canine-friendly fun. Animal Friends’ Canine Behavior Team presents the Toys & Terriers Canine Carnival on Sunday, July 19 from 11:00am - 5:00pm.

Fact or fiction? Toy breed dogs, with their petite statures and button noses, are the best pets for children.

Jack Russell terriers are ideal pets for apartments and small spaces. (Right?)

And, how much work can a tiny dog really be?

The facts aren’t as obvious as you may think. Learn the answers to these and more from Animal Friends’ Behavior team and toy and terrier breed rescue groups on July 19.  Experts will be on hand to help your family figure out which pet best suits your household: a snuggly snoozer, a jogging companion, a pro on the agility course, or something in between! Plus, kids will have a great time playing carnival games, jumping on the dog-shaped moon bounce and winning fun prizes.

Friendly dogs under 30 pounds are welcome and can join us for a Small Dog Social from 1:00pm to 2:00 pm. The carnival is free; refreshments are minimally priced. Call 412.847.7035 for more information.

This event will take place rain or shine at Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road in the North Hills. To get to Animal Friends from downtown, take I-279N to the Exit 8 at Camp Horne Road. Turn left at the light. Proceed through two more lights to find us on your left. For more information about Animal Friends, visit http://www.ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org/.
