Animal Friends' Humane Education program brings pets to the classroom to teach children the basics of responsible pet care, humane treatment of animals, dog safety, and, most importantly, compassion and empathy for other living things. Animal Friends' humane educators, accompanied by specially-selected pets or shelter animals or therapy pets, share these messages with 7,000-9,000 local young people per year.
