Carlotta
Meet Carlotta! Cara, as her foster mom calls her, is an active 3.5-year-old pup who is ready to find her forever home! She is a very intelligent dog with lots of energy, and her foster family has found that she loves to channel it by going on walks and learning new tricks! Beyond “sit, “down, and “wait, Carlotta has even learned how to wipe her paws when she comes inside from walks and how to file her own nails – she’s one smart cookie!
Cara was heartworm positive when she arrived at Animal Friends last year. She has since completed her heartworm treatment, but should still keep her energy levels moderated as her heart continues to heal. For this reason, Cara can’t currently go to a home with another dog despite being a dog-friendly gal! Carlotta is currently living with a cat so she may do well with cats in her future home!
With her enthusiasm for life, she would prefer an adult-only home or a family with kids 13 years or older. Cara’s family should be interested in learning about positive reinforcement training and commit to helping her continue to grow into the well-mannered girl she can be!
