City of Pittsburgh residents can receive up to five free spay or neuter surgeries for their pets. Simply complete this form and return it to Animal Care and Control. Once approved, your information will be forwarded to Animal Friends and a member of our Clinic Services team will contact you to schedule your appointment. It can take 3-4 weeks for the City of Pittsburgh to process applications – please do not contact Animal Friends about the status of your request.

Applicants must be residents of the City of Pittsburgh and pay city taxes. The City of Pittsburgh will cover the cost of your surgery but not vaccinations, microchips or pain medication.
