Meet Popcorn! Popcorn came to Animal Friends through our HI Department in early November as part of a mass rescue group that included upwards of 64 cats. Whenever these cats all entered our shelter, many of them were extremely friendly and affectionate right off the bat, which is not the case in the majority of mass rescue situations! Since many of these cats came to us healthy and full of energy and playfulness, we were able to begin making groups of them available shortly after their initial intakes. Although many of these cats have continued to be extremely outgoing and affectionate, some of them are still more reserved and may not be as receptive right off the bat – because of this we recommend having an across-the-board perspective and understanding that due to the conditions these cats previously lived in that they may all adjust at different rates. Popcorn is one of Yana’s “Special” Felines which means her requested adoption donation has been underwritten and she will be sent home with an individualized starter kit of supplies and other support based on her unique needs. She is currently residing in a foster home and would love to schedule an appointment to meet you!
