If you’ve lost a pet …

Helpful Tips

  • Contact Animal Friends’ Lost and Found Department at 412.847.7077.
  • Contact Humane Animal Rescue at 412.345.7300.
  • Post to lost and found pet pages on social media.
  • Notify your neighbors, local vet offices and local police.
  • Post fliers throughout your area.
  • Put a recently worn article of your clothing or your pet’s favorite bedding outside in a quiet place.
  • If you moved recently, check to see if your pet has returned to your previous home.
  • Check hiding places such as garages, sheds, under porches and in bushes.
  • Contact our Clinic Services team at 412.847.7004 about renting a humane cat trap.
  • Notify mail carriers, crossing guards and anyone else who is frequently in your area.
  • If your pet has a microchip, notify the company so they are aware.
