Thank you for your interest in adopting a homeless dog! Our adoption floor is open to the public for browsing. If you are interested in adopting a dog, appointments are welcomed and encouraged. Walk-in appointments will be accommodated as often as possible.

Please note that our adoptable dogs have downtime from 3-5 p.m. each day and are not available for viewing during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to visit our dogs outside of these hours (11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on weekends).

Before you get started, take a moment to read our adoption guidelines to learn more about adopting from Animal Friends. Once you’re ready to meet your match, start your application or contact our Adoption team with any questions. Once you have completed your application, an in-person meet and greet will be scheduled with your entire family as well as any dogs living in your home.

Meet Your Match

Below, you can get to know all of the dogs who are currently available for adoption at Animal Friends. Each of our canine residents has received a thorough medical examination, all appropriate vaccinations, microchip and is spayed or neutered.

Envigo Beagle Update!

Thank you for the outpouring of support and interest in adopting the Beagles who came to us from Virginia a few weeks ago. With so many adoption applications submitted, our goal is to be as fair as possible and consider adopters on a first-come, first-served basis.

As soon as they are available for adoption, these dogs will appear on our website. If you are interested in adopting, please be sure that you have an application on file with our Adoption Department and bring all human members of your household to Animal Friends for a meet and greet along with any other required documentation such as your landlord agreement. Please note, many of these pups will be required to go to a home with other dogs – if your family is a good fit, we can hold them for up to 2 hours while you return with your dog(s) and rabies certificates to complete a canine meet and greet.

If you have any questions, please contact our Adoption team at 412.847.7002 or AdoptionInfo@ThinkingOutsideTheCage.org.
