Point Park Honors Student Organization Presents: Pet a Puppy

Point Park University Honors Student Organization is holding a fundraiser for Animal Friends on April 25th from 11am – 1pm at Point Park University. Stop by during your lunch break to visit some adoptable animals and “pet a puppy!” Students will be asking for a $1 donation for each time you pet one of our adoptable dogs. Stop by and visit with Animal Friends and help us raise funds to save more homeless animals in our area!

When you register, you will be asked which race you want to run (i.e. full marathon, half marathon, 5k etc). Make your selection and finish your registration. Captain Montalván and Tuesday

Captain Montalván is a highly decorated, 17-year veteran of the U.S Army with multiple tours of duty in Iraq. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 2010, Capt. Montalván faced many obstacles from severe post-traumatic stress, physical wounds and traumatic brain injuries. Luis was introduced to Tuesday, a sensitive, caring, Golden Retriever. Tuesday, who also suffered an early trauma making it difficult for him to trust, was partnered with Luis and as a team their journey of recovery and healing began.
Capt. Montalván will be discussing his book, Until Tuesday: A Wounded Warrior and The Golden Retriever Who Saved Him and his life with service dog, Tuesday. Don’t miss out on this great lecture! Click here to register!
