NamastHay Goat Yoga

What is NamastHay Goat Yoga, you say? It's an all-levels, beginner-friendly yoga class held outdoors in a field with goats mingling around. And, a portion of the proceeds to benefit Animal Friends! Pine-Richland Middle School presents ...
Paws in the Park to benefit Animal Friends
Saturday, Oct. 28 | 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Pine Community Park

Families and their dogs are invited to attend the 20th annual Paws in the Park Dog Walk at Pine Community Park. For a $5 donation, you'll enjoy a canine costume contest and games like musical chairs for dogs and find the dog biscuit in the hay. Pine-Richland Middle School students will be on hand to face paint pet motifs for younger children. Participants are invited to purchase cookies or beverages to benefit the animals. Walkers who collect $75 or more in pledges prior to the event will have the opportunity to name an Animal Friends resident, with the top three fundraisers receiving a dog-themed gift basket. Families and individuals alike are encouraged to bring their dog to have fun participating in events made especially for them. This event is held on the fourth Saturday in October to celebrate national Make a Difference Day with the proceeds benefitting Animal Friends.

Guidelines: Children in fifth grade and lower must be accompanied by an adult. All dogs must be on regular four- to six-foot leashes (no retractable leashes, please!) during the event. Dogs should arrive wearing their identification tag, license and rabies tag. For the safety of everyone at the event, all dogs must be both people- and dog-friendly. 

Make a Difference Day at Animal Friends

Guests of all ages, families and scout and community groups are invited to join us to make a difference in the lives of homeless pets! Bring a gift for the animals from our supply drive list and have your photo taken with a therapy dog. Please register in advance to receive  a free tour for your group.

Paint Your Pet in a Pumpkin! (21+)

Paint Your Pet Night is getting a spooky makeover. Tara Zalewsky from Pittsburgh Painting will help you paint your pet in a pumpkin! Please bring a photo of your pet to the class and Tara will provide one-on-one instruction to help you turn it into a unique masterpiece!  Click here to register!

Halloween Party for Pets!

Is your dog tired of running to the door and barking at all the little ghosts and goblins on Halloween evening? Give him 
– and yourself – a break this year and bring him to Animal Friends for a howling good time! A trick or treat trail, canine games and other activities will be offered in our Outreach Center. We'll be partying rain or shine with outdoor activities included weather-permitting. Costumes for your four-legged friends are optional – no humans in costume, please. All dogs in attendance should be both people- and dog-friendly and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Talbots Fashionable Fundraiser

Pet Photos with Santa

Kids aren't the only ones who love to meet Santa! The big guy himself will be stopping by to spread some cheer just in time for the holiday season. For only $10, you'll receive three 4"x6" prints with all proceeds benefitting Animal Friends. Be sure to arrive with your pup on a leash and your cats and rabbits safely in their carriers. 

Shining the Spotlight on Pet Therapy

Come learn about the history of pet therapy, the benefits of and research behind pet therapy, the therapy animal certification process, and how to receive Pet Therapy visits at your organization.
