Last spring, a tragic string of student suicides at our local college campuses shook our community. We knew the amount of hurt and grief the students must have been feeling and wanted to help. So our trained animal therapy teams stepped in by offering visit after visit for days and weeks on end.

These Therapets teams offered much-needed relief in this time of incredible sadness. They licked away tears of mourning and shouldered the burden of grief. Often they just sat quietly … offering themselves as silent solace.

This is just one example of the powerful healing work of our Therapets teams. At times it’s for an Alzheimer’s patient struggling to remember. Other times it’s for a child undergoing treatment for cancer. And, sometimes, it’s just to bring a smile to the face of someone who’s lonely.

You can ensure that our Therapets teams can continue to bring them comfort when it’s needed most.
